We are a 25 bed Critical Illness Recovery Hospital licensed as an Acute Care hospital in Virginia. Our hospital plays an integral role in the successful recovery of patients that suffer catastrophic illness such as prolonged mechanical ventilation, cardiopulmonary disease, neuromuscular disorders, medically complex disease, and multi-organ failure. Our typical patient survived critical care but still needs extended hospital care to recover. Our hospital is designed to provide comprehensive, specialized care for these post-ICU patients. The epicenter of our care is the bedside of our patients. With a well-integrated team at its core, our physicians work in tandem with critical care nurses, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, physical therapists, speech therapists, occupational therapists, and other professionals to provide the best in collaborative care.
